The Cities of Phoenix, Goodyear, and Surprise.

The Challenge

Create inviting landscapes with seasonal interest for Luxury Rental Home Communities while understanding tight space constraints, microclimates, individual municipal requirements, and budgets.

The Solution

Westland collaborated with the client, engineers, architect, and pool contractor to design communities that have year-round seasonal landscape interest. WestLand provided themed main entry drives with lush but low water use plant material, theme walls, entry monumentation and accent paving. The community planting design and palettes were created based on plant attributes such as water needs, bloom time and color, ultimate plant size, and eventual maintenance requirements to ensure a long-term successful landscape. Pool and common space areas were created to incorporate amenities such as event lawns, ramadas, fire features, spas, barbecue areas, specialty paving, and site furnishings.

The Result

The resulting landscapes are an integral part of these rental home communities. The themed project entries provide instant curb appeal to prospective tenants and have generated rapid leasing. The thoughtful planting design and low voltage lighting adjacent the individual homes provide an attractive and welcoming environment for the residents. The amenity and common space areas are lush and green providing a resort atmosphere with custom ramadas, two-way fire features, spas, and accent paving.
