Dan has nearly 20 years of professional experience in landscape architecture across the United States. His design philosophy centers around preserving open space through a minimalist and strategic approach to design intervention. He enjoys projects where architectural and site systems incorporate green infrastructure and cultural history because these offer the greatest opportunity for educating the public about the ecological and human elements interacting on every site. Dan excels in working on site-scale interventions as well as large master planning efforts for a multitude of project types including parks and open space, habitat restoration, trail systems, public institutions, academic campuses, new communities, public utilities, and urban infill.
He is well versed in GIS analysis and digital media and, with his background in cultural anthropology, adept at incorporating the human element into every design.
Dan earned his BA from Notre Dame and his MLA from University of Texas, Austin.
