David has over 20 years of experience in environmental permitting of natural resource and land use projects and research and management of natural resources. He was appointed a Principal to the leadership team in 2016. His expertise includes statistical analysis, physiological and biochemical analyses, and animal sampling and capture techniques. David has worked on a variety of natural resource projects, from the conservation of endangered species to the assessment of riparian habitats for avian migrants in the arid Southwest. His research has been published in peer-reviewed ecology, evolution, and physiology journals. David has been the lead biologist and project manager on a variety of biological studies and efforts to support environmental permitting processes.

David earned a BS in Biology from the College of William and Mary, a MS in Wildlife Biology, Forestry, and Conservation from the University of Montana and a PhD in Ecology from Cornell University.
