Rich has over 30 years of experience in the metals mining, geothermal, and utility transmission industries with a focus on the understanding and implementation of state and federal regulatory and statutory requirements in the Wester United States. Rich was the President of EM Strategies until its acquisition by WestLand in 2021. Throughout his career he has prepared or been involved with the preparation of over 250 environmental documents. He has worked extensively with government agencies and played a leading role in the implementation of the State of Nevada’s regulatory program for the minerals industry in his capacity as a past Commissioner and Chairman for the Nevada Commission on Mineral Resources.
Rich earned his B.A. in geology from California State University and received an MSc in both Resource Management and Geology from the University of Idaho.
