Ron van Ommeren, MS, has 20 years of experience as a project manager, environmental regulatory specialist, and biologist for projects in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Montana, Texas, and Utah. His focus has been providing clients with natural resources-related regulatory support primarily in context of Clean Water Act (CWA); Endangered Species Act (ESA); National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); and state, county, and local requirements. He has directed and completed baseline vegetation inventories. He is also experienced in special status plant species surveys and habitat evaluations; avian surveys, nest searching and monitoring; fish surveys; small mammal trapping; and special status amphibian and reptile survey/collections. Mr. van Ommeren’s expertise includes field surveys and habitat evaluations for special status plant and animal species; preparation of Biological Evaluations (BEs) and Biological Assessments (BAs); native plant and noxious weed inventories; and public scoping and preparation of Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs).
