WestLand designed a well field and associated infrastructure for a groundwater mitigation project to intercept impacted groundwater and deliver it back to the plant site. The project consisted of the site and equipping design for 19 new groundwater wells, an open-top welded steel reservoir, a closed-top welded steel reservoir, a booster station, surge tanks, and 13 miles of HDPE pipeline. The project also included medium-voltage transmission, distribution, and switchgear design, low voltage electrical, instrumentation and control design for wells and booster station sites, Pima County and Union Pacific Railroad permitting assistance, surge analysis, detailed cost estimates, environmental permitting, and hazardous operations (HAZOPS) evaluation.
