FMI Sierrita Mill Water Header Replacement Project

WestLand provided a detailed design of two new steel headers, a sub-header, and a bypass inside an existing mine building. The project included design of 32 connections to the existing ball mills with new hydraulically actuated slurry knife gate valves and associated hydraulic piping. The construction sequencing was carefully designed to require no mill downtime, and to allow the existing and new headers to be operational simultaneously during construction.
