WestLand prepared an EA to satisfy NEPA requirements as amended in 1975 and as implemented by HUD. The report identified the potential impacts to the environment associated with the expansion of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe Community Wellness Center (Wellness Center) within the framework of the cited HUD NEPA guidelines. Construction of the Wellness Center and ancillary facilities has been completed in phases. The adjacent park walkways, ballparks, and associated landscaping were constructed in Phase II. WestLand worked with the Tribe to prepare the EA as required to obtain funding from the HUD through the ICDBG Program for completion of the final phase which included additional facilities and the skate park. WestLand prepared the FONSI and Notice of Intent to Request the Release of Funds on behalf of the Tribe.
