WestLand was hired by Chehalis Basin Fisheries Task Force to conduct a cultural resources assessment for a bridge replacement project near McCleary, WA. The project was funded by the Recreation and Conservation Office’s (RCO) Salmon Recovery Funding Board and was therefore subject to compliance with Executive Order 21-02. Westland archaeologists conducted historic and ethnographic research, developed a research design, and completed a field survey. Staff met on-site with representatives of the Quinault Tribe to discuss the history of the project area. The report was submitted within 30 days of project award and is currently under review by the RCO.
