WestLand was engage by United Water Conservation District to provide statistical analysis and sampling design support for their Endangered Species Act obligations for the relicensing of existing dams and diversion structures. WestLand provided expertise in statistical design and drafted a monitoring plan, analytical approach, and adaptive management plan in collaboration with United Water and the National Marine Fisheries Service. These efforts sought to address United Water’s Section 7 obligations regarding the protection and conservation the endangered southern California steelhead in the Santa Clara River and Piru Creek, CA.
